[ He shouldn't say now. He should stop this and stick to his reason. It's only going to hurt in the long run, and he does have other things he needs to do.
You shouldn't be here says a small petulant voice at the back of his mind, one that Hawke resolutely ignores as he raps on the door to Morrigan's apartment. They still need quota, so it's fine. It's good, actually. He's helping a friend. He can't abandon Morrigan just because he's not heard of the results of his talk with Juno yet. This isn't a situation where their feelings have changed, so really it would be horrible if he did turn Morrigan down.
Nevermind that they don't need traditional quota anymore, or that they both have multiple other less complicated partners that don't have this pall over the relationship, or that they're both going to feel poorly when they're done. Absolutely nevermind that.
Look, he's not perfect, even if he tries his damnedest. Sometimes you just need to... Not try.
He's smiling when Morrigan opens the door, though still with his hand stuffed in his jacket pockets as he stands back up straight from leaning on the walkway railing.
This is, objectively, an absolutely terrible idea. It's even worse than the last time they broke their own resolution to each other (and the unspoken one to Juno) because at least then, there was a reason for Peter to go to Hawke for help.
This is...selfish, really. That's all it is.
And they'll do it anyway.
"Hello."
Because he finds it terribly hard to resist this man. That smile. Peter beckons him inside. He...doesn't try to kiss him in greeting or anything like that, once Hawke is past the doorway and the door is closed behind him. He does lay a friendly, warm hand on his arm though.
Wolfe, on the other hand... If they're going to do this, it's going to be properly and he turns at Morrigan's hand to dart in and capture his lips the moment the door clicks shut.
He can't help himself.
It feels sometimes that each time he's with Morrigan may be the last and so he's driven to make the most of it. To make sure he tells the thief everything in his heart with his body even if he can't do so with his words.
Flames, and he thought dating Anders was complicated.
When he finally pulls away, it's breathlessly and with both hands braced on either side of the wall around Morrigan. Yes, he's meant to be the one getting tied up here, but fuck if he's not going to kiss the daylights out of his partner first.
"Right, so... You're room, then? I brought rope, in case."
For a few moments the expression on Peter's face when Hawke pulls away is dazed. He has his eyes closed at first, but even when they open they have an unfocused quality to them.
There's definitely a reason he finds it so easy to hand the reins over to Hawke when they're together. (And in a different way to other partners he's enjoyed submitting to in the past.)
Still. He's not meant to be doing that today and after another moment he smiles with just a little bit of sharpness.
"I have plenty of rope. But that's thoughtful."
He pushes off the wall with a manner that says he expects Hawke to step back without his asking.
His eyes don't leave Morrigan's face as he moves backwards in what would have been almost a graceful dance, especially for someone so broad, but the grace goes out of it when he nearly trips on something or other Morrigan's left on the floor. Clothes maybe? He glances down and shakes his foot to the side to offload the offending fabric but snaps his attention immediately back to Morrigan.
"Bedroom?" He tried to recover with that sultry tone, at least.
It's very, very smooth. Until it isn't. Peter just about suppresses the chuckle that Wolfe faltering causes and then reaches out to take his hand while stepping to the side and past him.
"Bedroom, yes. Come on."
Once they're there, Peter leads Wolfe to the bed and lets go of his hand...only to gently but firmly press at his shoulders.
He'd been about to follow Morrigan into bed, but the sudden stop and insistent push to lower himself puts a dart through him. He did come here to swap their roles for a night, after all. He should perhaps... follow through on that.
Maintaining smoldering eye contact, Wolfe obliges and slowly sinks down to his knees in front of Morrigan, deliberately if slightly nervously wetting his lips with his tongue. It's been a long time since he let someone other than Chris or Amelia put him on his knees, but fuck if he isn't in the mood for it now, with Morrigan looking so... Himself.
Peter had only meant to push Wolfe to a seated position on the bed, but this...this is much better. His eyes widen for a fraction of a second before his expression turns slick and pleased.
"That's very good." His voice is a smooth purr. "Thank you for being so good for me."
He reaches out to run a hand through Wolfe's hair the way he knows Wolfe likes it, fingernails scratching lightly at his scalp.
"Now. Why don't you tell me what you had in mind for tonight."
That pleased look on Morrigan's face is all Wolfe could have hoped for, but the purr sends a shiver down his spine and the fingernails in his hair have him swallowing hard and letting out a breathy noise in spite of himself.
"You did say you could show me a thing or two with ropes." He looks up at Morrigan through the soft fringe of white hair that frames his face. It's gotten so long he tends to keep it tied back these days. He'll get around the getting a haircut... at some point. "So, it's more what you had in mind, messere."
"Fair enough," Peter agrees. He's exceptionally pleased by the way Wolfe reacts to him, the way he looks up. There's also a warmth that floods through him, for Wolfe putting himself into Peter's hands and his care.
"Still. I'd like to know if there are any parameters for you. Things you especially want to do. Or don't want to do."
adalwolfe hawke
We've known each other for years now. And have been intimate for roughly as long, to be honest. He's an incredibly dear friend.
And VERY fun.
It's a fun bit of ropework. I enjoyed doing it. I always do.
[He...thinks he sees the meaning behind Hawke's words and responds with some hidden meaning of his own.]

Both about Jamie and the rest.
It's really a shame I've never had cause to see how you are with ropes.
[ He should stop there. That should be it, just some light teasing is bad enough... ]
Perhaps I could ask you to show me?
Academically, of course.
It's something I've been meaning to learn, that side of things.
[ Flames, he's a bad man... ]

But Peter is willing to pretend like this is best option if Hawke is.]
I could show you a thing or two, I think.
When are you free?

He can't.
He won't. ]
I'm free now.
[ He's weak. ]

[They're both terrible.]
