I don't think I've heard of anyone TRYING.
Though, I will say that after the breakout from Fort Harmony, they were very keen to collect anyone who didn't make their way back to the city. Which is to say, I tried not to. My contract partner and I were going to see about living out in the woods for a time but that plan was foiled.
